Adam and I have been in a New York state of mind the past couple of days. As a Christmas gift we got both sets of our parents tickets to The Audience. The Broadway show starring Helen Mirren as Queen Elizabeth II.
We decided to spend 4 days touring NYC, eating, drinking, shopping and site seeing. Check out a few photos from the trip!
On our first evening in the city we tried a fantastic restaurant called Artisanal Fromagerie Bistro on a recommendation from a friend. We tried two of their signature fondue pots and we all loved the Gouda Stout Founde pot the most. In addition to their awesome fondue they also are home to a famous cheese cave. You really can’t go very far without running into a beautiful and delicious spread of cheese.
As you may or may not remember, Adam and I have been to New York a couple of times but we hadn’t ever been out to see lady Liberty. My mom (who was a New York newbie) had placed this landmark on the top of her “To Do List” and we all took the trek out to see her and spent a little time on Ellis Island. Now that I have been, I don’t know why we ever waited. It was really easy to get to via subway and ferry. It did take a couple of hours to do the tour but well worth an afternoon!
After shopping one afternoon, we stumbled upon Fresh. which had the cutest little perfume display. I ended up getting Cucumber scented bottle which I was told they are likely going to discontinue soon so get it while it lasts!
