Halloween this year was a bit strange. We decided to put our home on the market a week or two ago so our regular routine of putting up decorations well in advance was not an option. In fact, all my décor went up on Halloween morning and then I took it all back down the next day. This year we stuck to simple creepy details that didn’t need a lot of prep time.
We have had pumpkins on our steps for weeks, I just added one black crow on top (the ones from the dollar store had metal pegs on the feet that I just pushed into the pumpkin to secure the crow to the pumpkin) and a few mason jars with FAKE candles to make the steps a bit creepier!
Just a table cloth and a bowl of spiders!
I added one raven and put a few creepy looking skeleton hands (that I used on cupcakes last year) into some glasses to make (and I am directly quoting a friend here) “One Scary Old Fashioned”
Our fall flowers were starting to die and we kept them even though they were pretty ugly looking. We also waited to rake until the day after Halloween! Add these to the front steps with a creepy photo of a butcher and it makes for one creepy walkway!
